Northville Civic Concern was founded in 1983 by a group of concerned citizens for the
benefit of the needy in Northville and Northville Township. Each month our church members
gather food and household supplies for Northville Civic Concern.  In addition to the monthly
items listed below,  gas cards, store gift cards and monetary gifts (checks made out to
Northville Civic Concern) are also greatly appreciated and accepted.  Northville Civic
Concern will act as a liaison for furniture, appliances and household items to help the
needy.  (You are eligible to receive a charitable tax receipt for your donations at Civic
Concern.)

To find out more about Northville Civic Concern or to put your name on a call list to help on a
“sometimes” or regular basis, call Jan Covert at 248-924-2474. Or, visit our Mission &
Outreach display in Boll Hall for more information and volunteer opportunities.

Help us provide families with basic needs
Bare shelves present us with a challenge to keep food and household items within reach of
those who need them most in the Northville area. Your donations of these items to Northville
Civic Concern keep the pipeline flowing.  But the number of households being served twice a
month continues to grow.

Help us continue to assist our clients with food with no letting up. The need is here.  It is now.
Please write "Civic Concern" on your grocery list and help in whatever way you can.

February's Great Grocery Bag Event!
February's Great Grocery Bag Event!
To Benefit clients of Northville Civic Concern
If it's February, it must be time for The Great Grocery Bag Event! Each year we
have surpassed our goal and with your continued help and support, we will do it
again!  This event is for you!  All ages, individuals, families, youth groups, study
groups, etc. can all participate by stopping at the Mission and Outreach table in
Boll Hall to pick up a shopping list.  Shop at your favorite grocery store for as many
items as you can and as often as you are able.  Bring  the bags to Boll Hall on
Sunday.  That's it!

Last year we provided Civic Concern with 247 bags of groceries.  With everyone
participating, we can do even better this year! Contact: Jan Covert (248-924-2474)
